Lily-May's 100 WC

One day two toys, which were lucky to have a day out with their child, got to go to Willy Wonka’s Factory. They didn’t want to be locked up in a room for the whole of the day so decided to escape through an open window. It was summer so the bees were buzzing around the window ledge. Like a human the toys were scared about the bees attacking them, so the toys made a plan. They decided to find more toys so they could defeat the bees. The attack took a sudden twist when…

Hollie's 100 WC

One day there was two children who were playing a game. One of the children was called Sam and the other Emily. Emily threw the ball at Sam to hit. However Sam hit the ball hit so hard he smashed the window. Suddenly the both shrank because the ball had hit the button on their dad’s shrink ray. Their mum and dad were looking for Sam and Emily they looked everywhere. It was a long night cold night in the garden, when they woke Sam and Emily was shocked to find a large scary bubble bee. Shock changed to upset when they discovered it was hurt.

Phoebe's World War 2 Workshop

Excited, surprised, amazed I walked into Y4’s classroom at 09:50am. It was Thursday 1st May the day of my classes WW2 workshop, a lady called Mrs Ashby was coming into the school hall to let us have fun in WW2 costumes. Why? We were learning about WW2, (such a horrible war.) I felt joyful and couldn’t wait to start the day in school.

First we got given a character, I was a WVS lady with Kayleigh, and we had to wear a grey shirt with a blue jacket and a small hat. Some people were getting ready, meanwhile the others were watching the amazing despicable me 1. When everyone was done we lied up and walked into the hall, everyone sat down then… silence. I did not feel disappointed.

Next we sat up and Mrs Ashby broke the silence, I was glad, she explained how everyone came in and she was pleased. When we started I got called up so did Kayleigh, it was quite nerve raking even though I talk to them nearly every day! I had to hold a knitted blanket which felt soft and made me sleepy. Although I already know lots I still listened.

Finally we got to play with WW2 toys and my favrotie was skipping. Here’s mine, Ellie’s and Lucy’s rhyme…

Turn around Hitler Hitler has a frown
how many bombs can we throw on Hitter

My favrotie part of the day was dancing with Kayleigh.

Unfrightend, exhausted, amused I walked slowly home at the end of the day.

Alanna's World War 2 Workshop

Shocked, surprised, nervous I came to school 8.00, 1st May 2014. We were booked in for a lively workshop with Ms. Ashby about World War 2 in the hall. I wanted to know more by the end of the session. I was so joyful.

First we were given a character. I was an evacuee girl. I put on a gorgeous floral dress with a cream coloured cardigan. And while we were waiting for everybody to get dressed we watched Despicable Me. I felt wonderful but also quite nervous because in year 2 I had to dress as the queen but that is a story for another day. But back to the war, we went into the hall and sat down on the benches.

Then Ms. Ashby put on some funky music from the 1940’s to get us in the mood! (Not the bad sort of funky but the good sort!) Then we all came out one by one in our costumes and Ms. Ashby told everybody what we did during the war. First up were the factory workers (Rebecca and Lily) came up and 2nd was the land army girls (Kelsi and Charlie) and so on.

After that it came to dinner so we got out of our costumes so we could eat lunch. We then went into the hall AGAIN but we did something different. We played with things like potato and spoon, cup and ball, bowling, skipping, yoyo’s, boat on a string & dominoes.

My favourite part of the day was playing with the skipping ropes because usually I can’t skip but I could with those skipping ropes because that was a heavy rope and my one at home is really light.

Lily-May's World War 2 Workshop

Excited, Amazed and surprised. When I arrived at school on the 1st of May. We had a  workshop with Mrs Ashby. To learn more about the WW2 and the facts that we already know. It all took part in the hall.

I got given my costume. I was a factory worker. I had to put on some blue dungerees with a light blue hat. Then we went into the hall silently.

Soon as Mrs Ashby had intruded herself, Me and Rebecca went up to the front and told us why we need to were our hats because we could get our hair stuck in the machine. And we danced to some fast music.

In the afternoon we played the evacuees games and the were 8 games. The best was the skipping.

Ethan's World War 2 Workshop

On the 1st May went into the school hall. We were learning about World War 2. We learned a lot about World War 2. I was excited.

First we were watching an exciting, brilliant, magnificent DVD till miss shouted us out to get a costume on. I was a poor sad evacuee boy. I was feeling sad.

After that we went into the hall and acted out World War 2. In the middle of the big hard acting we did dancing from world war 2 the steps were forward back forward back turn and together. We did it slow first then we did it fast. My name was Walter because I got a name tag that said it. Sadly nobody would take me in and if they didn’t the person would have to knock on a door. I had to live with a lady who was called Ellie.

Then in the afternoon we played old games we played an amazing game of dominoes we were split into groups. My favourite game was sketch which is another way of saying bowling.

Finally my favourite part of the day was playing games. We got undressed and watched despicable me till it was home time.
